Technology Evangelist & Entrepreneur - Shane Kinsch Shane Kinsch With AI & Robots, what can go wrong? Primary Menu Shane Kinsch Search for: I believe most people miss opportunities because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work. Going back to the mid-1990’s I wrote a bit of software for myself that would Identify, Track, Monitor and attempt to Bulk Register domain names when they became available. At the time, I was personally just one of a few in the United States that had access to the . COM, .NET and . ORG databases. Using my registration software, an ISDN connection and a Sun SPARC 20, I started picking up a lot of domains. Today, I hold numerous generic domains and a couple of thousand . COM domains. I’m a serial entrepreneur at heart, self-proclaimed Technology Evangelist and specialize in rapid development and deployment of Internet property initiatives such as establishing and overseeing the operation of Nevada’s Internet sTLD Registry (nv.com), an ICANN Accredited Registrar (gi.net) and a full service Internet Marketing & Digital PR company in Kansas City both from a business and technical administration perspective. My technical experience in Internet Security Architecture, Threat Assessment, the Domain Name Industry, Enterprise Infrastructure, Digital Media and overall business gives me a unique insight with the organizations that I work with. I consider myself passionate in technology with partnerships focused around technology startups and technology R&D in the Midwest of the United States. Expect a hard-driving passionate leader bringing repeated success through streamlined and effective business by realizing real tangible milestones along with creative and innovative solutions to problems. My passion is to help enable others through technology evangelism. Founder of the Following Organizations: Global Internet (an ICANN Accredited Registrar) Converg Media (a Digital PR Company ) Virtual Drive ( secure Online File Storage ) SecurNET (Internet security auditing and threat assessment) General Hobbies: Volunteer with BSA – Committee Chairman, Mentor… Local Venture Startups – Sprint Accelerator, Google Fiberhoods… Outdoor Activities – Hiking, biking, water sports, snow sports… Thrill Seeking Adventures – Skydiving, paramotoring… Fun Electronic Projects and Creations – Raspberry Pi, etc. How it all started… when I was about 12 years old, my parents bought me a Commodore 64 with a 1541 5 1/4″ disk drive. From there, I mowed more lawns to pay for my computer habit. Within a year or two I bought hundreds of floppies, a 300 baud MightyMo Modem, started calling 800 numbers, met some fun people in Minnesota (rabbit ears) and grew into a running my own BBS called DragonFire. I ran the BBS on software called Color 64″ (specifically with a 1764 RAM expander +256k) and (2) 1581 3 1/4” 720k floppy drives. The BBS started off using a 1200 baud Hayes modem where It was tolerable at the time, but like everything else, upgraded to a 2400 baud modem, then 9600. Fun times… that’s also about the time I really started to dive into this UNIX” stuff. Specifically AT&T System V and since then for the past 25+ years been a UNIX/Solaris guy with a concentration on System and Network Security and anything Open Source. I like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Vine, Google+, etc.. but this is the only place I can actually call my own . I control the domain, the hosting and everything here. Be sure to read my DCMA disclaimer if you think I have anything here that’s your content because mostly this is a resource for just me and I don’t have time to cite everything I post, so if there’s any content here that you own” like images or content, then fill out the form and I’ll check into it. :) — Shane Search for: Recently Searched for… Easily Bulk Transfer Domains From Cloudflare via the Cloudflare API Tabs Outliner Backup and Restore Using Threat Feed for Ad-blocking in FortiOS How do I configure the default bridge (docker0) network for Docker Engine to a different subnet?
